Good Morning Sunshine

There are not many do-overs in life, but there are fresh starts. Some are chosen and filled with great excitement while others are just another step in the path the Lord has laid in front of us. Some have said that doing the Will of God is just doing the next thing.

Although this blog is really for me, I trust as I move through transition into Chapter Four of my life, you will ride this roller-coaster with me as a friend and companion and hopefully, we will all grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Good-Bye to Aegina

Aegina was the first island we went to in 2005. We also returned here in 2018 and 2021 so it is sort of a nostalgic event.

We chose to settle in at the Ela Mesa in Souvala. It's a small port city and we have commented on how the atmosphere is so different. Whereas Santorini and Naxos cater to the international crowd, Aegina is more local and I might say an older crowd; even quite a few Germans. In other words, we didn't hear much English spoken.

It's been a quiet 5 days, just walking around the city and sitting by the pool. We are still recovering from our bug/cold so the quiet, restful atmosphere is welcoming.

Today we rented a car and drove around the island visiting places that we have been before. As I have mentioned before, the longer you stay at one place, the more it seems like home.

Tomorrow we get on a ferry back to Athens to stay with Fotis and Mary for a few days before be meet Brad and Mel at the airport. Since we will be seeing some of the same places with them, I'm not sure how much more blogging I will do, but will try to keep up.

Here are a few pictures from our time in Aegina.
