Good Morning Sunshine

There are not many do-overs in life, but there are fresh starts. Some are chosen and filled with great excitement while others are just another step in the path the Lord has laid in front of us. Some have said that doing the Will of God is just doing the next thing.

Although this blog is really for me, I trust as I move through transition into Chapter Four of my life, you will ride this roller-coaster with me as a friend and companion and hopefully, we will all grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Berat

Berat is a tourist town, but it was fun after being alone at our last stop. As we drove into the town we saw our hotel right at the center so that was nice after so many nights trying to figure out where to go. It was cute too; right on the hillside overlooking the valley. It was nice to stay two nights.

Once again there was a lot of walking up and down so my legs ache once again. Up the hill to the castle and then when we thought we were at the top, up some more. Then back down to our room. We ate at the restaurant in our hotel so no more walking that night; meatballs in a tomato sauce.

The next day we walked down, and I mean down to the city. It was larger with more restaurants and shops.  But when it came time to go home, we go a taxi up to the top; smart move.

This city is known as the city with 1000 windows as you will be able to see from the pictures. I googled, why? and they just said because of all the while homes on the hillside with 1000 windows overlooking the valley.

It was Sunday and we are able to walk by the Evangelical church as they were disbursing and was able to talk to the pastor. They have a congregation of about 100 people.
